Polysorb™ Covidien Sutures are for use in soft tissue approximation or litigation and ophthalmic surgery, but not cardiovascular or neural tissue.

  • Composed of Latomer™ glycolide/lactide copolymer, which is a synthetic polyester composed of glycolide and lactide
  • Coated with a mixture of caprolactone/gylcolide copolymer and calcium stearoyl lactylate
  • Colored violet to increase visibility and undyed is also available
  • With the exclusive braiding process and coating system the sutures have: excellent strength of the critcal wound healing period, excellent knot security, excellent handling and predictable absorption profile
